Ride Yukon 2010

The 2010 Ride Yukon snowboard is a board made for the big boys.  Ride created this board to be long and wide for the big foot rider, while offering a top level freestyle experience.  The Yukon is a freestyle board with a Twinish shape that can handle all terrains at top levels.
The Ride Yukon snowboard combines 4 of Ride’s top tech features; Carbon Array 5, Membrain top, Pop Glass and 90a Slimewalls.

  • Carbon Array 5- 5 Widespread carbon stringers are placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channeled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control.
  • Membrain Top Sheet –  Weighing less than half of traditional top sheets, Membrain® maintains a smooth feel by infusing urethane into fabric. Along with pushing limits in the world of lightweight, this process also allows us to push the boundaries when it comes to graphics. By utilizing the textures and aesthetics associated with a variety of fabrics, Ride is able to achieve graphic tricks that are simply not possible with conventional printing techniques.
  • Pop Glass – 90° Carbon fibers stitched into the glass. Extra pop, without adding extra stiffness.
  • 90a Slimewalls- The 90A durameter urethane is found on all ATV style boards, delivering increased response with the same smooth feel.

Overall the 2010 Ride Yukon is solid snowboard for those who want to take their riding to the next level.  But if you are a rider that is all about having a super soft board, this is not the right board for you.  This snowboard is for that rider that loves to press hard and likes a board that is a little stiff.  So those big foot guys out there that could not find the right board to take their freestyle riding style to the next level, this is the board you want to try.

The 2010 Burton T6 snowboard is a board that is designed for an advanced rider who really wants to take it to another level.  This is a snowboard that is all about speed and control, so no matter the condition this board can really rip it up.

The Burton T6 snowboard has three of Burtons top tech features that it adds to it boards; Smooth Ride Technology, The Channel, and Alumafly Core:

  • The Smooth Ride is dampening technology that is exclusive to the T6, it is all about letting the rider react quicker, go bigger, and faster while reducing the impact on your body.
  • The Channel, basically gives a rider the most direct connection with their board by focusing power through a central connection spine that evenly distributes energy for added rebound and snap.  As a rider one of the best parts of “The Channel” is that it lets you mount bindings to board any way you see fit – adjustability is endless.
  • The Alumafly Core is Burtons first “tip-to-tail aluminum honeycomb core is 90% air by volume and represents the perfect union of ultra high-grade honeycomb technology and EGD”.   This core is going to give you a ton of pop and explosive response.

Overall the 2010 Burton T6 is made for the advanced rider that wants to go big in all ways.  For those that decide this their board of choice for 2010, the advanced technology of this snowboard is going to make you a happy rider.

The 2010 Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX snowboard is back for another year and one of the hottest boards on the market.  Lib Tech is pushing to make their boards some of the best on the market and the Skate Banana BTX snowboard has already won the 2010 Transworld “Good Wood” award and the Snowboard-mag excellence in Board Design Award.

The Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX snowboard features the banana rocker between you feet to giving you a loose catch-free riding experience.  I think one of the biggest things you will notice with Lib Techs banana technology is the amazing control you can have over your board.  The Skate Banana BTX has many cool features to keep you wanted more like the Magne-Traction to provide a skateboard style riding experience  and the H-Pop Core giving this board a ton of Pop.

Overall the Lib Tech Banana Skate BTX snowboard is a fun freestyle board that can rip up the whole mountain…. the key feature that anyone who is a true rider will love is the control you are going to feel with this board.
