I am an experienced boarder who mostly points the board straight down and tries to go as fast as possible and the board does exactly what I want it to do, if you broke your body from just riding and not hitting the park, I'm sorry but no board can help you...great board for the value hands down. ( yes great on rails and small jumps although it was meant for all mountain riding hence the stiffness of it)

The forum recon snowboard isn't bad. The flex is good for me. Good flex depends on how much you weigh and your skill level. If you are 180lbs+ you can do good flex and butters. The only problems i've had with it is the heavyness of it, but you can work through it. I can do 360's of little jumps that arent even jumps, but that all depends on your skill level. all around... i'd say it's a 3-4 (out of 5) rating.

to the people that blame this board for not having good control...die. cuz im an experienced boarder and i love this board..compared to any rocker or camber type boards out there. best board i have ever rode. not saying its the best for everyone..because everyone rides differently you know? but honestly...if you like hitting rails, boxes, and goodsized jumps(excluding nuts jumps ex. superparks centipede..lol) this board to my knowledge is the way to go..especially for the price! 5 stars from me!

i have had the forum recon for two years now, and let me say its a decent board if your just getting into snowboarding and this is your first-second year of park riding. first let me point out the pros:
1. rails
2. decent edge control
3. small jumps and features
4. good beginner board

cons:
1. powder
2. doesn't mantain good control at high speeds (broke my collarbone just a month ago)
3. not too much pop to it
4. heavy

so yeah out of 5 i would give it a 3, good for starting out

I've been using this board for the past year, I've been snowboarding for 5 years. so i guess you can call me an experienced rider. i usually ride the terrain park hitting jumps and jibs, and this board by far is the best board i have ever used. it slides perfectly on rails and jibs because of its flexibility, and it glides through all types of snow, powder or packed. so i highly recommend using this board, also because of its low price.!

This is a board for a rider who likes all aspects about snowboarding. This is a board for any terrain. I use it for even powder sometimes and it does fine. It does the best on Rails, Half-pipe, and packed snow. It tail/nose presses nicely because of its soft flex and is perfect for beginner or intermediate snowboarders. It has a really cool design and a killer price of under $300. It also comes in wide sizes for big footed riders. It is a really nice board for its price, graphic, and ability. Forum has done a good job on this board, improving it every year. This year, by far, has the coolest graphic. The boots and bindings are also very inexpensive and great for the price.
