The 2010 K2 Jibpan snowboard was created because they wanted to create a board that would just crush the park. k2 says this is the ultimate park snowboard for the rider who has been hitting the WWW hard and wants to take the next step in the park.

The K2 Jibpan is a twin tip, high performance, jibbing machine that K2 loves to take to the next level. One of the big differences you are going to see in the 2010 Jibpan from the 2009 is the addition of the K2 Jib Rocker. Per K2 Snowboards the jib rocker is “JIB ROCKER allows for a loose, buttery feel while jibbing around the park or slaughtering the streets. Whether you’re pressing boxes or just playing around on the flats, JIB ROCKER has a forgiving no-catch feel that allows you to pull off even the most wild combinations. The flat mid-section allows you to lock into rails like you were on a skateboard.”.

Another feature of the K2 Jibpan that the riders are going to love is the use of Harshmellow. Harshmellow is a thin layer of polymer added to the board to reduce that annoying vibration that comes when riding at fast speeds.

Overall park riders are going to love this board and have a ton of fun with it, myself I am more of an all mountain rider so this is not the best board for me.

Features of The K2 Jibpan Snowboard:

Harshmellow

Jib Tech Tip Tech

Twin Tip Hyper Progressive Shape

The 2010 Ride Fleetwood snowboard is a freestyle board that is made for the tall guys with big feet. This is a wide directional shape snowboard that Ride created with the bigger rider in mind. Before you continue to read my review you need to know I am not a tall guy with big feet, so this board is not in my sweet spot. I am actually not a fan of wide board as I find them harder to go edge to edge.

The Ride Fleetwood 2010 features some of Ride’s top technology like the 90a Slimewalls, Radial Sidecut and Linear Carbon Laminate. The 90a Slimewalls is some of Ride’s top sidewall construction that is going to give you that smooth feel and quick response. You will notice as you are riding this board that it will notice that when you want it to respond to a quick turn or landing that it will come through. The Radial Sidecut is what makes this snowboard turn on a dime, it basically has a a sidecut that is one radius throughout the board which makes it super smooth on turns. Lastly the Fleetwood features the Linear Carbon laminate, this laminate give the board that extra snap for when you are pushing off the job or just trying to do a ollie off the ground.

Overall if you are a big rider you will probably like this board. For me personally I am not a fan of wide snowboard and it was a little stiff, so this is not a great board for me. Some positives about this board are that it is pretty inexpensive, lightweight, smooth and has some pop.

Features:
Thin Con
90A Slimewalls®
Foundation Tuned Core™
Biaxial Glass
Linear Carbon
Fusion 1500 Base

The 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker is a new Burton board for the 2010 season and some are already saying it is one of their best new additions in a while. This board takes all the top elements that already existed in a Burton Custom and adds the Burton Rocker technology.

The Burton Custom V-Rocker comes with some of Burton’s top following technology like the V-Rocker, The Channel, and Dualzone EDG.

The V-Rocker is basically places a rocker between your feet, with two additional rockers at the tip and tail that to keep each end completely off the snow. For those who have never experience the rocker shape before, this style makes those on ground tricks like spinning and jumping super easy. The Channel I have talked about before and some riders love it… for me I don’t change my binding settings that often so I am not the hugest fan of “The Channel”. And lastly the Dualzone EDG is one of my favorites, it takes the wood grain and positions it along the toe and heel edges, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for superior edge hold and added strength. For anyone who has been cranking down the mountain and had that edge give on them and took a hard face plant you will appreciate why I think the is one of my favorite features.

Overall I am a fan of this snowboard.. I have always been a big fan of the Custom and this one with the V-Rocker makes it that much better. If you are looking for a stiff or longer snowboard you are not going to like this board. The Custom V-Rocker rides soft and only comes in 151,154, and 156.

The 2010 Lib Tech MC Kink BTX snowboard is a freestyle board that is made for powder and jibbing. When this snowboard was originally designed by Matt Cummins in the 80’s he wanted a board that rode well in the powder and could handle jibbing off everything, that is how he came up with the unique kink shape.

The Lib Tech MC Kink is all about the ease of ridding. It features a tail that is curved up like a “kink”, allowing the snowboard to smoothly float over everything. This type of tip and tail also allow for a shorter board to be able to handle the powder and therefore allowing the board to be able to jib everything.

Features:
Kinky Banana Tech - All about Control between your feet.
Magne-Traction - Make a snowboard feel like you are riding a skateboard.
Morning wood Core – A core that give you a ton of pop.
TNT Base – All about being super fast.

Overall this snowboard is made for the big boys. Lib is producing some of the top boards on the market, so if you are looking to switch boards, give this one a shot….i don’t think you will be disappointed.

K2 has developed a reputation for developing consistent, quality snowboards year in and year out. The 2010 K2 Brigade continues that tradition.

The Brigade features K2’s catch free technology, which reduces those nasty edge catches by adding some rocker in the tip and tail, and reducing the camber. The catch free ride makes the Brigade a great board for a wide range of skill levels.

The Brigade also comes equipped with a W1 pure wood core and Hybritech construction which allows for consistent turns. Best of all, K2 has kept the price point on this board fairly low considering its on-mountain performance.

Additional features of the K2 Brigade include the follow:

Set Back Twin Dual Progressive Shape

1″ Back Stance

Biax Top and Base Glass

Extruded 2000 Base

Base Bevel: 3 Degree

Membrain Top Sheet - Weighing less than half of traditional top sheets, Membrain® maintains a smooth feel by infusing urethane into fabric. Along with pushing limits in the world of lightweight, this process also allows us to push the boundaries when it comes to graphics. By utilizing the textures and aesthetics associated with a variety of fabrics, Ride is able to achieve graphic tricks that are simply not possible with conventional printing techniques.

Pop Glass – 90° Carbon fibers stitched into the glass. Extra pop, without adding extra stiffness.

90a Slimewalls- The 90A durameter urethane is found on all ATV style boards, delivering increased response with the same smooth feel.

Overall the 2010 Ride Yukon is solid snowboard for those who want to take their riding to the next level. But if you are a rider that is all about having a super soft board, this is not the right board for you. This snowboard is for that rider that loves to press hard and likes a board that is a little stiff. So those big foot guys out there that could not find the right board to take their freestyle riding style to the next level, this is the board you want to try.

The 2010 Burton T6 snowboard is a board that is designed for an advanced rider who really wants to take it to another level. This is a snowboard that is all about speed and control, so no matter the condition this board can really rip it up.

The Burton T6 snowboard has three of Burtons top tech features that it adds to it boards; Smooth Ride Technology, The Channel, and Alumafly Core:

The Smooth Ride is dampening technology that is exclusive to the T6, it is all about letting the rider react quicker, go bigger, and faster while reducing the impact on your body.

The Channel, basically gives a rider the most direct connection with their board by focusing power through a central connection spine that evenly distributes energy for added rebound and snap. As a rider one of the best parts of “The Channel” is that it lets you mount bindings to board any way you see fit – adjustability is endless.

The Alumafly Core is Burtons first “tip-to-tail aluminum honeycomb core is 90% air by volume and represents the perfect union of ultra high-grade honeycomb technology and EGD”. This core is going to give you a ton of pop and explosive response.

Overall the 2010 Burton T6 is made for the advanced rider that wants to go big in all ways. For those that decide this their board of choice for 2010, the advanced technology of this snowboard is going to make you a happy rider.

The 2010 Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX snowboard is back for another year and one of the hottest boards on the market. Lib Tech is pushing to make their boards some of the best on the market and the Skate Banana BTX snowboard has already won the 2010 Transworld “Good Wood” award and the Snowboard-mag excellence in Board Design Award.

Overall the Lib Tech Banana Skate BTX snowboard is a fun freestyle board that can rip up the whole mountain…. the key feature that anyone who is a true rider will love is the control you are going to feel with this board.

The 2010 Ride Kink is about about the PARK, this is a board that is made to take a beating. Sometimes there really is meaning in a name, you know that sound you here every time you hit the rail hard with you board………………… “kink”, that has to be why Ride named it. Even though this is considered a true park board, the Ride Kink is made with a twin tip FreeStyle shape and has a centered stance.

The 2010 Ride Kink features one major change and that is the addition of the LowRize sidecut. The LowRize sidecut is basically a radial sidecut without the hook. Ride refers to in like this : “Straighter, truer tracking into transitions and jibs by lengthening the blend zone from the sidecut to the tip shape. Built exclusively with the LowRize™ rocker profile.”

This Ride Kink also features the Cleave Edge and 85a Slimewalls. The Cleave Edge is all about more steel so the edge will not crack and it can take a beating, the reason why this board is a stud in the park. The 85a Slimewalls are made to absorb impact rather than defending against them, this is the little bit of love you are going to need to make you feel a little better when you are about to land the big air.

Features of the Ride Kink Snowboard:

Thin Con

85A Slimewalls®

Foundation Tuned Core™

Cleave Edge™

Biaxial Glass

Fusion 1500 Base™

2×4 Inserts
